Professor Beth Bilson recognized for support of United Way
The United Way of Saskatoon & Area has named Professor Beth Bilson, Q.C. as a recipient of the Honoured Supporter Award for her dedication and expertise in support of the organization. Bilson was appointed to the United Way’s board of directors in 2004 and chaired the board in 2009. She is credited for creating a collegial atmosphere, encouraging important discussions around strategy and relevant issues, and for being an advocate for increasing investment to build effective charitable organizations. She also led the United Way’s work on capacity building for funded agencies and work in the broader not-for-profit charitable sector.
Bilson was recognized on Nov. 15 during a luncheon celebrating National Philanthropy Day. The event was coordinated by the Association of Fundraising Professionals to recognize and pay tribute to the contributions that philanthropy and philanthropists have made to a sustainable future for all people.
