Ena Chadha (LLB’92) named Interim Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission

An alumna of USask College of Law, Chadha was named to the position effective July 22, 2020.

Chadha has recently served as a co-reviewer of the Peel District School Board systemic racism review. She is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre and a past Vice-chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, where she issued several leading decisions in the areas of race, disability and sexual harassment. She also began her career as counsel to the OHRC.

Chadha and her family are proud sponsors of the College of Law's Mohinder Chadha Award in Law in honour of her late mother, Mohinder Chadha.
