Guest Speakers
Join us on Sept. 21 at 12pm (CST) for "The Time of Misogyny: Gender, Politics, and the Stories we Tell" presented by the USask Ariel Sallows Chair in Human Rights, Rachel Loewen Walker, as part of the McKercher Lecture Series at the College of Law
Presented by Rachel Loewen Walker, Ariel F. Sallows Chair in Human Rights at the College of Law (USask), this lecture will conduct a close reading of both the concept and the operations of misogyny. Loewen Walker will demonstrate that an old and largely misunderstood concept such as misogyny can act as a tipping point for renewed engagement with gender-based violence in contemporary legal, social, and political environments.
