Select Narratives and Visuals of Indigenous Art: Exploring Connections in Law

This lecture will consider connections between Indigenous art and law, including the performance and power of treaty-making through material culture. In a time when it seems public discussion and critique are received as personal attack and where the polarization of perspectives feels like a daily practice, this lecture will also propose how art and material culture may offer a way through the noise by re-centering art at the forefront.
