Martel is the author of the short story collection The Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios (winner of the Journey Prize); of the novels Self; Beatrice & Virgil; Life of Pi (for which he won the 2002 Man Booker Prize), and his latest, The High Mountains of Portugal.

This event will also take place in Saskatoon in spring 2018.
