Where to give
To designate your gift to the College of Law or a specific program or area of interest, please indicate your preference on the online or mail-in form.
Estey Chair in Business Law
The Estey Chair in Business Law was established in October 2012, following a generous lead donation by John and Bill Estey, sons of the late Willard Estey, former Supreme Court of Canada Justice. The creation of this chair will allow the college to recruit a distinguished scholar in the area of business law in order to provide much sought after research and learning to our students, as well as members of the bar, judiciary, and broader community in this diverse area of legal practice.
Community Legal Services for Saskatoon Inner City
This fund assists the Intensive Clinical Law Program at the College of Law. The clinical program collaborates with the Community Legal Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC) to provide free, professional, and confidential legal services for low-income members of society. The students who volunteer or enroll in our clinical program benefit from this experience by receiving hands-on experience working with clients.
Wunusweh Centennial Lecture in Aboriginal Law
This fund has been created to support a bi-annual lecture by a senior scholar or prominent legal advocate on a subject related to Aboriginal law or policy. Should the funds become available, the program would also support student exercises or workshops with the lecturer in the area of Aboriginal law.
College of Law Centennial Student Enhancement Fund
This fund provides much needed financial support to students at the College of Law through bursaries, scholarships and awards. It also serves to enhance the student experience by supporting a variety of activities, including our moot teams, clinical experiences through Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City (CLASSIC), as well as international student exchanges and internships.
College of Law
Over 300 students call the College of Law home and your support has a direct impact on their success in one of the most challenging and rewarding legal educations in Canada.
Friendraising Campaign - Student financial support
Tuition at the College of Law has risen by 50 per cent in the last five years. Your gift can be directed to the academic scholarship fund or to the bursary fund where 100 per cent of your donation will go toward helping JD students pay for their education.
Friendraising Campaign - Research resources
A gift directed to this initiative will go toward funding JD student research assistants and covering their related expenses. In addition to an increase in research activity in the college, your gift will enhance the development of students’ research skills.
Friendraising Campaign - Experiential learning
Your gift can be directed to CLASSIC, the college’s intensive clinical law program in the inner city; to the enhancement of our clinical program offerings in business, Aboriginal and criminal law; or to summer externships for students. Your gift gives students the opportunity to work alongside legal and business practitioners, thereby assisting in their development as responsible professionals.
Thank you for your gift to the College of Law!
