Catherine Bell (LLB ’85) receives 2012 Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law
College of Law alumna, Catherine Bell, has been named the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) 2012 Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law for outstanding contributions to legal scholarship in Canada.
The award was presented at the Council Awards Luncheon on August 11, 2012, held in conjunction with the CBA 2012 Canadian Legal Conference in Vancouver.
This is the second year in a row that a U of S College of Law alumnus has won the prestigious award—Professor Ron Cuming (LLB ’63) took home the award in 2011.
The CBA Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law was established in 1993 by then governor-general Ramon John Hnatyshyn to recognize outstanding contributions to the law or legal scholarship in Canada. For more info, read the CBA press release.
